As students, we were already fascinated by artificial intelligence and how it was changing the world around us. While exploring different ideas, we kept coming back to food. Everyone eats. Everyone cooks or knows someone who cooks. That made us wonder: what if AI could make cooking decisions easier?

That question eventually became Tikka Mate.

Building Something While Being Students

Most people imagine technology startups being built by experienced professionals working in offices. Our reality looked very different.

We were balancing school assignments, examinations, homework, and extracurricular activities while trying to build a website. There were days when we spent more time solving technical problems than actually working on new features. Sometimes a feature that looked simple took hours to fix. Sometimes an idea that sounded amazing did not work at all.

There were moments when we questioned whether we were capable of building something useful. After all, we are students, not professional software developers or business founders.

Tikka Mate is still growing, and so are we. Every new feature, every challenge, and every user teaches us something new.

Looking Ahead

When we started this journey, we were simply a group of students interested in technology and cooking. Today, we are still students, but we have gained experiences that classrooms alone could never teach us.

Tikka Mate is more than a website to us. It is proof that ideas can come from anywhere and anyone, regardless of age.

We do not know exactly where this journey will lead in the future, but we know one thing for sure: this is only the beginning.
